Comprehensive Laboratory Testing
Have you ever been told your labs look “normal” but you still don’t feel well? Many standard lab panels only scratch the surface. At Archetype Health & Wellness, we utilize comprehensive laboratory testing to gain a deeper understanding of your health and identify imbalances that may be contributing to your symptoms.
Beyond screening for disease, our goal is to optimize health. We use advanced testing to assess hormones, digestion, metabolism, inflammation, immune function, and nutrient status, and we take the time to thoroughly explain each result in a clear, easy-to-understand way.
Common types of tests that may be included in your lab testing panel include:
Blood tests
By measuring the levels of various substances in the blood, such as hormones, proteins, and antibodies, blood tests can help diagnose a wide range of conditions, including hormonal imbalances, infections, anemia, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and more.
Urine tests
Detecting the presence of substances in the urine, such as protein, sugar, or bacteria, urine tests can indicate the presence of certain diseases or conditions. It can also tell us information about environmental toxin levels, including mycotoxins, heavy metals, pesticides, and plastics.
Saliva tests
Saliva testing is a non-invasive collection method to measure hormones like cortisol, estrogens, progesterone, and androgens. Saliva testing measures the amount of hormone available to target tissues – the bioavailable or ‘useful’ amount.
Imaging tests
These tests, such as x-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, use specialized equipment to create detailed images of the body’s internal structures and help to diagnose certain conditions and monitor treatment progress.
Genetic tests
Examining an individual’s DNA helps identify genetic variations that may increase the risk of certain diseases or conditions.
Stool tests
These tests detect the presence of blood, bacteria, or parasites in our stool. Stool tests can also give us a deeper view of your gut health by measuring the levels of beneficial and harmful bacteria living in the gastrointestinal tract. Imbalances in the gut flora may lead to gastrointestinal symptoms, skin conditions, autoimmune disorders, immune system imbalances, and inflammatory disorders.
