Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves stimulating energy pathways throughout the body. Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide range of health conditions, including pain, nausea, and addiction, as well as to improve overall well-being and promote relaxation. During a treatment, thin needles are inserted into specific points on the body known as acupuncture points. These points are located along pathways called meridians, which are believed to carry energy, or qi (“chee”), throughout the body. This modality helps restore balance and promote healing through the correction of the body's natural energy flow.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves placing small cups on the skin to create suction. Cupping therapy is believed to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and relieve muscle tension. It is often used to treat a wide range of health conditions, including pain, respiratory conditions, and digestive problems. During a cupping therapy session, we will heat the inside of the cup and then place it onto the skin. The heat creates a vacuum seal, which causes the skin to rise and turn red as blood vessels expand.
